00 — Overview

What the ADS7830 family does

The ADS7830 is an 8-bit, 8-channel sampling analog-to-digital converter featuring a serial I2C interface and an internal 2.5V reference. It supports Standard, Fast, and High-Speed modes with sampling rates up to 70 kSPS. The device operates on a single supply from 2.7V to 5V, consuming as little as 180 µW in Standard mode. With ±0.5 LSB integral linearity error and 90 dB channel-to-channel isolation, it serves battery-operated systems, remote data acquisition, and transducer interfaces. Available in a TSSOP-16 package, it handles four differential or eight single-ended inputs across industrial temperature ranges.
