What the ADS1246 family does

The ADS1246, ADS1247, and ADS1248 are precision 24-bit analog-to-digital converters designed for sensor measurement applications. These devices feature a programmable gain amplifier, a low-noise delta-sigma ADC with single-cycle settling, and an internal 2.048-V reference with 10 ppm/°C maximum drift. The family supports data rates up to 2 kSPS and includes simultaneous 50-Hz and 60-Hz rejection at 20 SPS. The ADS1248 provides eight input channels, while the ADS1247 offers four, and the ADS1246 supports two. They typically measure temperature sensors like RTDs and thermocouples, as well as pressure and flow meters. The converters operate on a 2.7V to 5.25V analog supply and include features like sensor burn-out detection and programmable excitation current sources for resistive bridge sensors.
