What the HX711 does

The HX711 is a precision 24-bit analog-to-digital converter designed for weigh scales and industrial control applications. It interfaces directly with bridge sensors using two selectable differential input channels with on-chip programmable gain of 32, 64, or 128. The device operates on a 2.6 to 5.5V supply, consuming less than 1.5mA in normal mode. It features an on-chip oscillator or external clock input, selectable output data rates of 10 or 80 samples per second, and simultaneous 50 and 60Hz supply rejection. The HX711 requires no external programming and simplifies digital interface initialization through an on-chip power-on-reset circuit. Typical applications include load cell measurement systems and industrial process control where high resolution and low noise are critical.
