00 — Overview

What the AD7682 does

The AD7682/AD7689 are 16-bit, 4-channel or 8-channel, 250 kSPS PulSAR analog-to-digital converters. These devices offer 16-bit resolution with no missing codes and a dynamic range of 93.8 dB. They operate on a single supply from 2.3 V to 5.5 V with a throughput of 250 kSPS and a standby current of 50 nA. The parts include an internal selectable 2.5 V or 4.096 V reference and a temperature sensor. Engineers typically use them for multichannel system monitoring, battery-powered equipment, medical instruments like ECG/EKG, mobile communications, and data acquisition systems. The AD7689 variant also supports an extended temperature range up to +125°C.
