00 — Overview

What the GM3085E does

The GM3085E is a high-speed RS-485/RS-422 transceiver featuring fail-safe receiver circuitry and ±15kV ESD protection. It operates on a single supply of 3.0 to 5.5 V with a 1/8-unit-load input impedance that supports up to 256 devices on the bus. Enhanced slew-rate limiting minimizes EMI and reflections, enabling error-free data transmission at speeds up to 1 Mbps. This device is typically used in industrial control systems, electricity and water meters, gas meters, EMI-sensitive transceiver applications, security systems, lighting systems, and instrument meters.
