What the SP3485E family does

The SP3485E is a 3.3V half-duplex RS-485 transceiver available in DIP-8, SOP-8, MSOP-8, DFN-83*3, and SOT-23-8 packages. It supports a 12Mbps data rate with a 3.0V to 3.6V operating range and drives up to 256 units on a single bus. The device features integrated transient voltage suppression, thermal shutdown, and fail-safe protection.
