What the DAC8830 does
The DAC8830 and DAC8831 are 16-bit, ultra-low power, voltage-output digital-to-analog converters operating from a single 2.7 V to 5.5 V supply. These devices feature 1 LSB integral nonlinearity, 10 nV/√Hz noise, and a 1.0 μS settling time to half LSB. They utilize a high-speed SPI interface supporting up to 50 MHz clock speeds and include a reset-to-zero-code function. The DAC8830 provides a unipolar output from 0 V to VREF, while the DAC8831 offers a bipolar output range of ±VREF when paired with an external buffer. Both parts are suitable for portable equipment, automatic test equipment, industrial process control, and data acquisition systems. Available in SO-8, SO-14, and QFN-14 packages, they cover industrial temperature ranges from –40°C to +85°C.
