00 — Overview

What the CS4344 does

The CS4344/5/6/8 family are stereo digital-to-analog converters featuring a 24-bit multi-bit delta-sigma modulator and filtered line-level outputs. These devices operate from a single +3.3 V or +5 V supply, deliver 105 dB dynamic range, and support sample rates up to 192 kHz with low clock jitter sensitivity. Individual variants differ only in the supported audio data interface format. The CS4344 family includes on-chip digital de-emphasis and Popguard™ technology to prevent pop noise. Engineers typically use these converters in DVD players, digital televisions, home theater systems, set-top boxes, and automotive audio applications where minimal support circuitry is required.
