What the ES8311 family does
The ES8311 is a low power mono audio CODEC combining a 24-bit delta-sigma ADC and DAC. It supports sampling frequencies from 8 to 96 kHz with an 110 dB signal-to-noise ratio and -80 dB THD+N. The device operates on a single supply of 1.8V to 3.3V, consuming only 14 mW during playback and record modes. It features dynamic range compression, pop and click noise suppression, and interfaces via I2C, I2S, or PCM. Typically used in automotive, phones, toys, and surveillance systems, the ES8311 serves as a low noise pre-amplifier, noise reduction filter, or auto level control component.
