What the DAC5311 family does

The DAC5311, DAC6311, and DAC7311 are low-power, single-channel digital-to-analog converters available in 8-bit, 10-bit, and 12-bit resolutions. These devices operate on a wide 2.0 V to 5.5 V supply while consuming only 80 µA in normal mode and dropping to 0.1 µA in power-down. They feature a three-wire serial interface supporting up to 50 MHz and include an on-chip rail-to-rail output buffer. Engineers typically use these converters in portable battery-powered instruments, 4-mA to 20-mA loop-powered applications, and industrial automation systems requiring precise voltage or current sources. The compact 6-pin SC70 package supports extended temperatures from -40°C to +125°C.
