00 — Overview

What the AD7190 does

The AD7190 is a low noise, 24-bit sigma-delta analog-to-digital converter with a programmable gain amplifier designed for high precision measurement applications. It supports up to 22.5 noise-free bits at 4.8 kHz and offers 16 noise-free bits at 2.4 kHz with a gain of 128. The device features an RMS noise of 8.5 nV at 4.7 Hz and an offset drift of 5 nV/°C. It operates with a 4.75 V to 5.25 V analog supply and 2.7 V to 5.25 V digital supply while consuming 6 mA. Typically used in temperature measurement, chromatography, and medical instrumentation, the AD7190 handles two differential or four pseudo-differential input channels. It includes an automatic channel sequencer and supports data rates from 4.7 Hz to 4.8 kHz.
