What the ES8388 family does

The ES8388 is a low power stereo audio CODEC featuring a 2-channel ADC, 2-channel DAC, microphone amplifier, and headphone amplifier. It supports 24-bit sampling from 8 kHz to 96 kHz with 95 dB dynamic range and 95 dB signal-to-noise ratio. The headphone amplifier delivers 40 mW with pop noise free operation. This device operates on 1.8V to 3.3V supplies, consuming 7 mW during playback. Engineers typically use it in portable audio devices, MP3 players, digital cameras, and wireless audio systems. It offers I2C or SPI interfaces and includes digital sound effects like bass and treble control.
