00 — Overview

What the ADS1114 does

The ADS111x family comprises ultra-small, low-power, 16-bit analog-to-digital converters compatible with the I2C interface. This series includes the ADS1113, ADS1114, and ADS1115, which operate across a wide supply range of 2.0V to 5.5V. These devices consume only 150μA in continuous-conversion mode and support programmable data rates from 8SPS to 860SPS. They feature an internal low-drift voltage reference and oscillator, with the ADS1114 and ADS1115 also including a programmable gain amplifier and digital comparator. Engineers typically utilize these converters for portable instrumentation, battery monitoring, temperature measurement systems, and factory automation applications requiring precise sensor data acquisition.
