00 — Overview

What the AD7124-8 does

The AD7124-8 is an 8-channel, low noise, low power, 24-bit sigma-delta ADC featuring a programmable gain amplifier and internal reference. It supports 8 differential or 15 pseudo-differential inputs with programmable gain from 1 to 128. The device operates across a 2.7 V to 3.6 V single supply or ±1.8 V dual supply, delivering up to 22 noise-free bits. It offers three power modes ranging from 24 nV rms noise at 1.17 SPS to 23 nV rms at 9.4 SPS with a maximum power-down current of 5 µA. The ADC includes a band gap reference with 10 ppm/°C drift, an internal temperature sensor, and diagnostic functions for safe integrity level certification. It is designed for temperature and pressure measurement, industrial process control, instrumentation, and smart transmitter applications. The part is available in commercial, industrial, and automotive grades with a temperature range of −40°C to +125°C.
