00 — Overview

What the ISO7240C does

The ISO7240, ISO7241, and ISO7242 are quad-channel digital isolators featuring silicon dioxide barriers that block high voltage and isolate grounds. These devices support 25-Mbps or 150-Mbps signaling rates with 4kV ESD protection and operate across a -40°C to 125°C temperature range. The ISO7240CF variant includes a selectable failsafe output and input disable function. Variants offer TTL or CMOS input thresholds, with the C option providing noise filtering. Engineers typically use these components in industrial fieldbus systems, computer peripheral interfaces, servo control applications, and data acquisition systems to prevent noise currents from damaging sensitive circuitry.
