What the TMP36 family does
The TMP35/TMP36/TMP37 are low voltage, precision centigrade temperature sensors that provide a voltage output linearly proportional to Celsius temperature. These devices operate from a single 2.7 V to 5.5 V supply with quiescent current below 50 µA and a shutdown current under 0.5 µA. The TMP36 specifically offers ±2°C accuracy over the -40°C to +125°C range with a 10 mV/°C scale factor and 750 mV output at 25°C. They simplify interfacing to A/D converters and are typically used in environmental control, thermal protection, industrial process control, fire alarms, power system monitors, and CPU thermal management. Available in TO-92, SOIC-8, and SOT-23 packages, they require no external calibration.
