What the MOC308 family does

The MOC308x series are six-pin DIP zero-cross optoisolators designed as triac driver outputs. This family spans standard, wide lead spacing, surface mounting, and tape and reel packages across commercial, industrial, and military temperature grades. Key parameters include 5,000V rms isolation voltage, 800V minimum repetitive peak off-state voltage, and a critical rate of rise of 1,000V per microsecond.
