What the MOC3063 does

The MOC3063x series are zero-cross triac driver optocouplers available in dual-in-line, wide lead spacing, and surface mounting packages. These components provide 5,000V rms isolation voltage, 600V minimum off-state voltage, and a dv/dt rating of 1000V per microsecond. They are designed for AC motor drives, starters, contactors, lighting controls, solenoid valves, solid state relays, power switches, and temperature regulation. The family includes the MOC3063, MOC3063M, and MOC3063S variants, with the latter supporting tape and reel packaging for automated assembly. All units meet UL, CSA, FIMKO, and VDE safety approvals while maintaining RoHS compliance.
