What the GP8101 family does

The GP8101/GP8101M are PWM to Analog converters that linearly transform 0%-100% duty cycle inputs into 0-5V or 0-10V outputs. The GP8101 handles standard frequencies from 50Hz to 50kHz, while the GP8101M processes high-frequency modulated signals for isolation applications. These devices operate on a 10V to 15V supply with less than 2mA power consumption and under 2ms startup time. They maintain voltage output errors below 1% and linearity errors under 0.5%. Designers typically use them for motor speed control, LED dimming, inverters, power supplies, and industrial analog signal isolation. The GP8101M specifically pairs with high-frequency APC chips to enable capacitor or transformer isolation for analog signals.
