00 — Overview

What the TMP102 family does

The TMP102 is a low-power digital temperature sensor with SMBus and two-wire serial interface in a 1.6mm × 1.6mm SOT563 package. It provides 12-bit resolution with 0.0625°C steps, 2.0°C maximum accuracy from –25°C to 85°C, and 3.0°C maximum accuracy from –40°C to 125°C. The device operates on a 1.4V to 3.6V supply with 7.5μA active current and 0.35μA shutdown current. It features an overtemperature alert function and NIST-traceable calibration. Typical applications include portable electronics, battery management, PC and notebook temperature monitoring, enterprise machines, thermostats, and general industrial or medical temperature measurements.
