What the TL082 family does

The TL082, TL082A, and TL082B are high speed JFET input dual operational amplifiers incorporating well-matched high voltage JFET and bipolar transistors in a monolithic integrated circuit. These devices feature a high slew rate of 16 V/µs, low input bias and offset current, and low offset voltage temperature coefficient. They offer a wide common-mode and differential voltage range up to the positive supply rail. The family includes variants with output short-circuit protection and high input impedance JFET input stages. Internal frequency compensation ensures latch up free operation. Engineers typically use these amplifiers in general purpose applications requiring high speed performance and low noise characteristics across commercial, industrial, and military temperature grades.
