What the RS0102 family does

The RS0102 is a 2-bit bidirectional voltage-level translator designed for open-drain and push-pull applications. It supports data rates up to 24 Mbps for push-pull outputs and 2 Mbps for open-drain configurations. The device operates across a wide voltage range, handling 1.65V to 5.5V on the A ports and 2.3V to 5.5V on the B ports without requiring power-supply sequencing. It features a partial-power-down mode to reduce quiescent current and supports extended temperatures from -40°C to +85°C. Engineers typically use this component for I2C/SMBus, UART, and GPIO interfaces to establish digital switching compatibility between mixed-voltage systems. Available in Green SOT-23-8 and VSSOP-8 packages, the RS0102 facilitates seamless communication between 1.8V, 2.5V, 3.3V, and 5V nodes.
