What the MT8631 family does
The MT863X family comprises MT8631, MT8632, and MT8633, which are omni-polar, nano power Hall-effect switch ICs. These devices operate on a 2.0 to 5.5 V supply, consume 600 nA average current, and feature hysteresis windows ranging from 12 Gs to 22 Gs. Available in SOT-23-3L, DFN1616, and Flat TO-92 packages, the MT863X responds to both North and South poles. Engineers typically use these components for position detection, solid-state switching, proximity sensing, and applications in home appliances, industrial equipment, and handheld devices.
