What the SS41 family does

The SS41F and SS41G are low-cost digital bipolar Hall-effect sensor ICs designed for speed, RPM, and motor commutation sensing. These devices operate across a wide 4.5 Vdc to 24 Vdc supply range while consuming only 5 mA max at 4.5 Vdc. They feature a robust design capable of withstanding temperatures from -40 °C to 150 °C and handle output currents up to 20 mA. The sensors respond to alternating magnetic poles with a differential sensitivity of 40 Gauss. Available in a compact flat TO-92-style package, they interface easily with standard electronic circuits for applications ranging from transportation tachometers to industrial motor control and medical equipment.
