00 — Overview

What the DRV8837 does

The DRV8837 and DRV8838 are low-voltage H-bridge drivers designed for DC motors, solenoids, and other loads in cameras, toys, and robotics. The DRV8837 accepts PWM inputs while the DRV8838 uses phase and enable signals. Both devices supply up to 1.8 A of output current and operate on a motor supply from 0 to 11 V with a logic supply of 1.8 to 7 V. They feature low MOSFET on-resistance of 280 mΩ and include protection against overcurrent, short circuits, and thermal shutdown. These drivers support a low-power sleep mode with 120-nA maximum current and fit in a compact 2.0 × 2.0 mm WSON package.
