What the DRV8833 does

The DRV8833 is a dual H-bridge motor driver designed for toys, printers, and robotics. It drives two DC brush motors, a bipolar stepper motor, or other inductive loads using internal N-channel power MOSFETs. The device supports a wide power supply voltage range of 2.7 to 10.8 V and delivers 1.5 A RMS or 2 A peak current per H-bridge. Output current regulation and limiting are available to protect against overcurrent and short circuits. The DRV8833 includes undervoltage lockout, overtemperature protection, and a low-power sleep mode. It is packaged in a 16-pin WQFN, HTSSOP, or TSSOP with PowerPAD for efficient thermal performance.
