00 — Overview

What the CC1101 family does

The CC1101 is a low-power sub-1 GHz RF transceiver microcontroller designed for wireless sensor networks, automatic meter reading, and home automation in the 315, 433, 868, and 915 MHz ISM/SRD bands. It supports data rates from 0.6 to 600 kbps with sensitivity reaching -118 dBm at 868 MHz and output power up to +12 dBm. The device features a configurable baseband modem, 64-byte FIFOs for burst transmission, and wake-on-radio functionality. It operates with minimal external components, requiring no filters or RF switches, and includes digital RSSI and link quality indication. The CC1101 integrates an on-chip frequency synthesizer and analog temperature sensor, making it suitable for frequency hopping systems and compliance with EN 300 220 and FCC standards.
