The BL0937B is a single-phase energy metering chip with an internal clock, designed for socket meters, power strips, and smart home control circuits. It features a 2500:1 input dynamic range with less than ±0.5% non-linear measurement error and handles a current measurement range of 4mA to 30A. The device operates on a single 3.3V supply with typical power consumption of 8mW, utilizing a built-in 1.1V reference voltage and internal oscillator. It provides high-precision RMS voltage and current measurements along with active power, current, and voltage effective values. The chip includes a patented anti-walking design to eliminate noise power when no current flows and a power voltage monitor that resets the system if voltage drops below 2.6V. Packaged in an SOP8 format, it outputs high-frequency pulses for metering or RMS values based on configuration.
