What the AZ1117 family does

The AZ1117x is a series of 1A low dropout linear regulators offering fixed outputs from 1.2V to 5.0V or an adjustable range from 1.25V to 12V. It maintains a dropout voltage of 1.15V at full load, supports a junction temperature of -40 to +125°C, and features on-chip thermal shutdown with a trimmed current limit. Available in SOT223, SOT89, TO220-3, TO252-2, and TO263 packages, this component serves applications in PC motherboards, LCD monitors, graphic cards, and telecom equipment.
